A wee bit late, by who's counting?
First off, a shout out to Deacon John and Joe over at catholicstuff, for another great podcast.
Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will be joyful in God my Savior. – Habakkuk 3:17-18
This is a good one for me today, because God knows my fig tree ain't done crap for me in a while. The scripture is dead true though. You have to fight on, and love God, even through the tough times, no matter how long and arduous they are. God will always be there for us, thick and thin, and we will be rewarded our due compensation when we make it into his arms in heaven :)
I'd like to dedicate this week's devotion to Hannah's grandma, Patsy Ruth Harber Bonney, who passed away - She's at peace.
God Bless,
Jake
