So today I was reading the diary of a saint, and she talks so frequently of mercy. I hear so much about how God loves us and is jealous for us, and wants us to be totally in love with Him too. I guess this concept is just now starting to sink in though. I am realizing that it IS possible to heal from the things that have left our hearts so deeply scarred. And more than that, I finally desire to be recreated into the person God wanted me to be.
We have been given the great opportunity today to be freed from all that weighs us down. Wherever you are at right now, God is with you. Isn't that incredible?! Just look around you - what do you see? You probably see a wall, or a desk, or a tree. Maybe some furniture or pictures or even sunlight. Nothing extraordinary, right? Now close your eyes for a moment - what do you feel? Right in the center of yourself, what is it that sits in the gap?
Whatever that burden is today, give it to God, so that He can come and take its place.
Even when we don't realize it, there is always this immense glory knocking at the door of our hearts. I am going to try to open that door today and let the flood come in. God loves us so much, and "if His mercy is an ocean, we're all sinking."
I have a good felling that today is a day for cleansing and for healing.
"We grow in silence, we grow in pain. So pick up your spirit and walk through the rain."
