and I'm feeling good

Welcome, folks, to Light of a New Day. This blog project was started back in 2010 by Jake and Sydnee. Over the years, several others have left their mark, by contributing articles, their time, and love for Christ. The blog has went through some dry spells, because - let's face it - we all have moments where posting happy thoughts isn't quite possible. For Jake and Syd both, someone shot the bird dead out of the sky. Unfortunately for them, that bird was a phoenix - and baby, it's back. What you can expect are posts. Maybe not regular, and maybe not all of them will be happy. This phoenix is an honest phoenix, life isn't perfect - and people need to stop acting and teaching like it is. This is Light of a New Day. a REAL day. If you have any thoughts or comments, would like to drop us a contribution, or would like to join our team - drop me a line at trun4rth@yahoo.com

Daily Devotion, August 9th 10

And the LORD said to Satan, "Where have you come from?" Satan answered the LORD, "From roaming the earth and going back and forth in it."    - Job 2:2

Satan is here. His weapons are subtle and powerful. He likes to attack our self esteem, at which point we will go to any lengths to be seen as popular. He likes to attack our network of Christian friends, thus leaving us vulnerable. I have seen both versions of these attacks in my life, and both are very difficult to prevent, but not difficult to dispel, if you know how to go about it. If your self esteem (or that of someone you know) has been assaulted - the best solution is to counter it with your circle of good Christian friends. Likewise, if one or more of your friend network has been attacked, your self esteem is the best way to launch a counter attack. With this, Satan will have no chance against the army of light. We are the body and the big freaking guns of Christ.
